Recording
ETA isn’t recording my location
ETA needs location set to “Allow only while using the app”. Open Settings in ETA to see the permission and fix it. Without location, ETA can still record a trip’s time.
I don’t see the trip notification
Allow notifications for ETA in your phone’s settings. The notification is how you pause or end a trip without opening the app.
My phone restarted during a trip
Open ETA again. It finds the unfinished trip and offers to end and save it, or to resume recording.
The dial says “No GPS”
Your phone has lost its location fix, often in tunnels or car parks. Time keeps running and distance waits until GPS returns.
Trips and reports
The address says “Address pending”
The phone was offline when the trip ended. ETA looks the address up the next time you’re online. You can also type a place name yourself.
The cost says “Needs data”
Add the vehicle’s consumption and the fuel or electricity price in Vehicles. ETA won’t guess a cost without them.
Can I edit a trip?
You can change the role, vehicle, purpose, place names and note. Times, distance and the route stay as they were recorded.
Switch between km and miles
Settings › Units. Automatic follows your phone’s region, or choose Metric or US.
Backup and your data
Moving to a new phone
Turn on backup on the old phone and sign in with your email. On the new phone, install ETA and sign in with the same email to bring your trips back. Without backup, trips stay on the old phone, and you can export them as CSV to keep a copy.
I didn’t get a sign-in code
Check your spam folder, then ask ETA to send a new code. Each code works once.
Turning backup off
In Settings. ETA asks whether to delete the online copy or keep it. Trips on your phone stay either way.
Deleting my account or data
Settings › Account › Delete account removes the online copy and your sign-in. Settings › Delete all data clears the phone too.
